Symbiotic presents alongside researchers from Google DeepMind and the Astera Institute

Our CTO, Kevin Nejad, was recently invited to present at the Conference on Safe AI Development hosted by the Society for AI Alignment at Harvard University. Kevin shared his latest research on how we can leverage neuroscience to develop novel techniques for interpreting large-scale neural networks. This research has been conducted in collaboration with colleagues from MIT, the University of Cambridge, and the University of Oxford.

We presented alongside four other researchers from Google DeepMind, the Astera Institute, and the University of Delaware. The event featured a wide array of research on technical AI safety, with topics ranging from mechanistic interpretability to brain-inspired approaches for AGI development and theories of appropriateness with applications to generative AI.

Hosted online, the conference drew a wide audience of students and researchers from the Harvard campus and other institutions around the world. To extend its scope and capacity, the conference will soon be made available on various online platforms.
